The research project "Research and evaluation of soil fertility and balanced fertilization for banana, litchi and citrus" conducted by the Soil and Fertilizer Institute, Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences won the third prize of Science and Technology Award of Guangdong Province in 2005. The project was sponsored by IPNI in the last decade. On the basis of the research achievement, technology transfer into products was performed within the insitute where a series of sepecial fertilizers designed for banana, litchi, citrus and other fruit trees were produced from the institute owned fertilizer factory.
