A field activity that was to demonstrate effect of balanced fertilizers on grape yield and quality was conducted in Bishan County, Chongqing on June 22, 2007.Leaders from Chongqing Ag-extension Centre and from Bishan Agricultural Bureau attended the event with local grape growers.Some fertilizer companies also came to the field. The activity was held on a grape farm managed by a Ag-enterprise called "Kaipu Agricultural Co". The attendees surprisely witnessed the effect of balanced fertilizers on grape yield and quality. It was clearly seen that the grape plants with balanced fertilizers bore more rich colored fruits than the plants receiving fertilizers minus -P or K (refer to photos below). The fruit taste and flavor were remarkably improved with balanced fertilizers. Seeing such good results, the farmers were very keen to learn the know-how that produced the miracle and said they would follow the suit to produce their own best grape next year. The event was covered by Bishan TV and broadcast on the same day.
