The enhanced treatment generated an additional net income of CNY 1,067/ha. At another site, a one-time application of 120-60-75 kg/ha at rice transplanting, using controlled release urea as the source, produced a rice yield of 10.7 t/ha, or 2.2 t/ha (26%) higher than the treatment using regular urea.
